The campers we pull into the stable will always be electrified as primary source of power – and for those who are wondering why – it really comes down to preservation of your experience. It’s a bit of a buzz kill when you’re at a camp and your neighbors only means to run their air conditioner is while using a loud gas-powered generator.

When you’re at a campground, RV park or completely off-grid – to varying degrees, occasional noise can be expected, but everyone deserves more here. In solving for this scenario and others we’re embracing solutions that blend seamlessly into the background of the environment instead of becoming a distraction from it.

Several camper brands offer partial solutions that provide the ability to power small accessories and charge your phone, but Campworks is one of only a few to companies producing trailers that offer a holistic off-grid solution capable enough to power all your conveniences, quietly. The integrated lighting, hvac system, induction stovetop – it’s all powered with a massive integrated battery, up to 12kWh.

To give you some perspective, a standard Tesla Powerwall, which a homeowner might tie into their home grid, has about 13 kWh of energy storage. That would power the average home for about half a day. So, 12 kWh capacity in a package as small and efficient as the Campworks NS-1 will go much further – approximately 3-4 days of use. Our campers are also able to push out 9 kW of output.

Think of it like having a high-speed internet connection with plenty of bandwidth: the 12 kWh battery is your “data limit,” ensuring you have enough energy to last for days, while the 9 kW output is the “download speed,” capable of running high-demand devices like a heater, fridge, or even charging an EV—all at the same time. This combination of capacity and power output means you’re equipped for both efficient use and high-performance demands, wherever adventure takes you.

When we think about usable power, at kamperage 6kWh is the minimum level of energy storage we believe a modern camper should have installed to provide the time out we all deserve.
